Hi, I’m Sean

I envision a diverse gathering of people who are madly in love with Jesus, deeply connected to each other, and radically devoted to the Great Commission.

This was my heart in planting Ekklesia - a Christian Church in Fresno California. Below is a little about me.

A little about me…

My name is Sean Tambagahan, and I serve as the Lead Pastor and church planter of Ekklesia.

I was born in Fremont, California, and moved to Fresno when I was five. This city has shaped me, and I carry a deep love for it. My desire is simple—to see Christ made known in Fresno and beyond.

I live in Clovis with my wife, Candace, and our three sons—Jet, Chase, and Dash.

Professionally, I serve as the Creative Director at Archer & Hound Advertising, where I work with a talented team to help organizations communicate clearly and effectively. While my work in the marketplace and my role as a pastor are distinct, they are both driven by the same conviction: to build people, serve others, and steward what God has entrusted well.

In November of 2007, my life was radically changed after hearing the Gospel preached at The Word Community Church under Bishop JR Coleman.

That church became more than where I was saved—it was where I was discipled, trained, and formed. I eventually had the privilege of serving there as an elder and teaching pastor for seven years. It is also the church that sent me out to plant Ekklesia.

I am deeply grateful for that foundation and the leaders who invested in me.

Over the years, the Lord has consistently shaped my life around four areas of focus:
evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and world missions.

These aren’t just ministry categories—they are the lanes I believe God has called me to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). Everything I do—whether in ministry, leadership, or creative work—is aimed at advancing that calling.

That’s a little about me.
If you’d like to connect, I’d love to meet you.
