Hi, I’m Sean

I envision a diverse gathering of people who are madly in love with Jesus, deeply connected to each other, and radically devoted to the Great Commission.

This was my heart in planting Ekklesia - a Christian Church in Fresno California. Below is a little about me.

A little about me…

My name is Sean Tambagahan - the senior pastor and church planter at Ekklesia. I was born in Fremont, CA, and moved to Fresno when I was 5. I’ve been here ever since. I love my city and am passionate about making Christ known here.  I currently live in Clovis, California, with my wife, Candace, and three sons - Jet, Chase, and Dash. I own a design and marketing agency in Downtown Fresno called Butler Branding, and run a Christian entrepreneurship podcast called Conflicted.

In November of 2007, I was radically saved after hearing the Gospel preached by Bishop JR Coleman at The Word Community Church (or TWCC). You can see my testimony here. The Word Community Church is not only where I was saved; it was where I was trained, discipled, and eventually served as an elder and teaching pastor for 7 years. It’s also the church I was sent out from to start Ekklesia. I consider myself extremely blessed to have served at TWCC under Bishop Coleman. It is a truly multi-cultural, inner-city church - which has been my primary level of experience as a minister.

Through my tenure in ministry, the Lord has put four areas of emphasis on my heart: evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and world mission. These are the specific “good works God has prepared for [me] in advance to walk in” (Ephesians 2:10). Everything I do in life is in an effort of pursuing this call.

That’s a little about me. If you’d like to learn more, let’s talk.
